Imagine That Outfitters Tip of the Week: The fishing the past few weeks has been on fire! The Spring bass fishing is in full swing on our Hill Country rivers. We have some storms in the forecast coming up later this week. Take advantage of that pre storm bite if you can! We have availability during the week that will be solid! Best Time to Fish: Mornings through late evening

Best Stretch: Any

Best Access: Any

DEVILS RIVER:

Flow Rate:

  • Bakers Crossing (24 CFS)

  • Pafford Crossing ( 105 CFS)

Water Clarity: Excellent- slightly off color in certain sections- clear on lower river

Water Temp: mid 60s- low 70s

5 Day Outlook: Now is an excellent time to be fishing the Devils River. Pre spawning bass action is in full effect. Storms in the forecast this week should bump the flow rate. Pre storm fishing will be on fire.

SAN MARCOS RIVER:

Flow Rate:

  • Martindale (84.2 CFS)

Water Clarity: Good / slightly stained

Water Temp: low 60s- mid 60s

5 Day Outlook: The fishing on the San Marcos river has been electric the past month. Rain/ thunderstorms in the forecast later this week. Pre storm fishing is always great! Get out if you can and call us if you want to book a guided float before the storm to get in on the action!

LLANO RIVER:

Flow Rate:

  • Junction (60.5 CFS)

  • Mason (68.1 CFS)

Water Clarity: Good

Water Temp: low to mid 60s

5 Day Outlook: Rain and thunderstorms in the forecast later this week should give the river another good early spring bump in flow rate. Fishing is heating up on the Llano with bass moving into their spawning habits. We’ve got spring availability to get in on the action. Give us a call to get on the books!

UPPER GUADALUPE RIVER:

Flow Rate:

  • Kerrville (27.4 CFS)

  • Bergheim (45.4 CFS)

  • Spring Branch (28.8 CFS)

Water Clarity: good/ slightly off color

Water Temp: low 60s- mid 60s

5 Day Outlook: Flows are still low, but the upcoming rain forecasted should give the Upper Guadalupe a good bump.

GUADALUPE RIVER BELOW CANYON LAKE DAM (TAILWATER SECTION):

Flow Rate: Below Canyon Lake Dam (62 CFS)

Water Clarity: Good/ slightly stained

Water Temp: Low 60s to high 60s

5 Day Outlook: Flow rate has stayed consistent, water temps are starting to rise. The trout fishing has been slow. Now is the time to transition to our warm water fisheries and get after those spawning bass!
