Pinedale, Wyoming Fishing Report

June 8, 2025 Fishing Outlook & Conditions

Imagine That Expeditions Tip of the Week:

Flows are still fluctuating each day due to continued snow melt. Our tip of the week is to look for water with some visibility ( banks or edges ). It is looking like we will be getting another bump in flows over the next few days.

Hatches: Midges, BWOs, PMDs, Caddis.

Best Time to Fish: Warmer days are expected over the next week. Time of Day shouldn’t have a huge impact. Water clarity will be the key

Best Stretch: Below Fontenelle Dam to Slate Creek; Town to Airport

Best Access: Slate Creek (tailwater stretch)

GREEN RIVER:

Flow Rate:

  • Warren Bridge (1000 CFS)

  • La Barge ( 3070 CFS)

Water Clarity: Off Color

Water Temp: High 40s to low 50s

5 Day Outlook: Flows are forecasted to continue to rise over the next couple of days before they begin to drop and clarity improves.

NEW FORK RIVER:

Flow Rate:

  • Big Piney (1770 CFS)

Water Clarity: Off Color to Dirty

Water Temp: Mid 40s to low 50s

5 Day Outlook: Expect flows to begin to drop and clarity to improve over the next week.

GREEN RIVER BELOW LAKE FONTENELLE (TAILWATER SECTION):

Flow Rate: Below Fontenelle Dam (1930 CFS)

Water Clarity: Good

Water Temp: 52

5 Day Outlook: No planned dam release change over the next few days. This is a great option for the next few days with runoff happening on the upper Green river.
