Imagine That Expeditions Tip of the Week:

The fishing in and around the Pinedale, WY area continues to stay good! Water levels are dropping, but floating is still the best option. Mayflies, caddis, and sally hatches are consistent each day. Water levels are on the drop, and with warmer days make sure you are checking those water temps while on the river!

Hatches: Midges, BWOs, PMDs, Caddis, sallies, Drakes, Tricos

Best Time to Fish: Early mornings

Best Stretch: Forest section, Below Fontenelle

Best Access: Union Bride to Boundary

GREEN RIVER:

Flow Rate:

  • Warren Bridge (534 CFS)

  • La Barge ( 929 CFS)

Water Clarity: Excellent

Water Temp: Low to mid 60s

5 Day Outlook: The next week is looking like great weather. Don’t forget to check those water temps!

NEW FORK RIVER:

Flow Rate:

  • Big Piney (614 CFS)

Water Clarity: Excellent

Water Temp: Low to mid 60s

5 Day Outlook: Early mornings on the New Fork should stay productive. Be sure to check water temps throughout the day.

GREEN RIVER BELOW LAKE FONTENELLE (TAILWATER SECTION):

Flow Rate: Below Fontenelle Dam (843 CFS)

Water Clarity: Good

Water Temp: Low to mid 60s

5 Day Outlook: No planned dam release change over the next few days. Hatches are becoming more and more prolific. Flow rate should stay consistent over the next week.
