Devils River Top-Water Action was on FIRE!

Our last few days of the season on the Devils River were an absolute blast. The top-water action was so hot we thought the fire crews would be called!

The giant Largemouth in the photo below came hauling a** out of some deep structure and darn-near ate the fly before Hal finished laying his cast down. It doesn't happen like that every day, but when it does, you know why the regulars keep coming back year after year!

The only mouth wider than the one on this fish is the smile on Hal’s face.
